Farview doesn't collect, store, or share any personal information. This policy covers the Farview app for Mac and this website, both from Homeschool Fox L.L.C. ("we").

What Farview stores

Your preferences (on or off, your rhythm, stand-up breaks, working hours, break style, chime, and the list of apps that pause breaks) are saved only on your Mac, in Farview's own sandboxed container. They never leave your Mac.

What Farview doesn't do

• No accounts or sign-in
• No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking
• No network requests of its own
• No access to your files, contacts, location, camera, microphone audio, or screen contents
• No record of your breaks: no history, stats, or streaks

How Farview's features work on your Mac

To avoid interrupting you, Farview asks macOS a few yes-or-no questions. The answers are used on your Mac in the moment and are never recorded or sent anywhere.

Calls. Farview checks whether any microphone is currently in use. It never opens the microphone and can't hear anything, which is why macOS doesn't ask you for microphone permission.

Video. Farview checks whether the app in front is keeping the display awake, as video players and presentations do. It doesn't see what's playing.

Time away. Farview checks how long it has been since the keyboard or mouse was last used, so time away counts as a break. It doesn't see what you type or click.

Pause for apps. Farview checks which app is in front so breaks can wait for apps on your list.

Purchases

Farview Pro and its free trial are provided through the Mac App Store. Apple processes the payment; we don't receive your payment details, name, or email. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Children

Farview collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
